The Wonder of a Photograph
Why do we create our portraits like this?
Imagine, for a moment, your children, and grandchildren in years to come. They have rediscovered your beautiful portraits.
Visualise each of them wide-eyed and holding their breath in wonder as they hold them. They see your personality and character as well as what you looked like.
They touch the canvas and can feel the brush strokes that follow your outline. They feel the soft velvety matte cotton prints and enjoy the vibrant colours and deep blacks. It is almost as if they get to know a little about who you are, as well as what you look like.
As a portrait photographer, this is what I am thinking of when I create your artwork!
How Can You Get Your Portraits?
Step 1: Schedule A Call
I invite you to a no-obligation telephone call with me. You share with me a little about your loved ones and the kind of memories that you want to capture. I will answer your questions.
If you feel I am the family portrait photographer for you, I will be happy to help you select a date for your Experience.
We will then meet, either in your home or by Zoom online. We discuss in more detail how we can make the most of your experience and make sure that it will be personalised to your family's needs.
Step 2: Your Family Photographer in Your Home
Capturing your artwork takes place in your home. I will arrive at our agreed time and start setting up our studio equipment.
Don't worry, it is all professional 'on location' equipment and will not need a house remodel! We do sometimes re-arrange your furniture, but we will have discussed this beforehand. Everything goes back at the end of your session as if we had not even been there.

Step 3: Reveal and Ordering Session
Once your experience has ended I go home and select and edit your portraits.
My signature style is 'painterly'. Every piece of art is hand-edited, in-house, by myself. I will use my camera to capture your image. Then I use those photographs to create a one-of-a-kind, handmade art piece. Our families often comment that their finished portraits really do look like paintings!
Once your portraits are ready I come to your home to reveal them to you. We discuss how you would like to present your portraits, from fine art prints to our canvas products. You only buy what you love. No hard sales techniques. No minimum order.
When you commission us, the result is a museum-quality, handmade piece of art to enjoy in your home.
