Bromley House Library

Premier Branding Photographer Peter Nutkins captures images for the rebrand of Bromley House Library in Nottingham. Images created for website, social media and print.

When it comes to business, it’s so important to share your brand message and value with your ideal clients clearly. The fact is, people are looking out for businesses that they can relate to and engage with. You share who you are as a business through your visual content often even more than through the written word.

Professional Website PhotosA sense of wonderment and being lost in a book

The brand of Bromley House is very special and evokes a bygone time as well as a true sense of literary wonderment and community. The building itself is constantly evolving. Initially built in 1752 for a banker it is crammed full of detail.

The main part of the library is housed in a series of reading rooms with plaster ceilings, cornices and overmantels. A particularly fine spiral staircase and gallery adorn the main reading room and traditional wooden ladders provide access to the highest shelves.

Adorning the walls of the library are a fine range of paintings, and the main building includes an original meridian line. In the upper rooms the first photographic studio in the Midlands is a feature, as is the walled garden at the rear of the library.

A particular emphasis for the library was ensuring that the images included a diversity of people, including younger members.

Website Photography For Your BusinessMembers feel the library is a home from home

My mission for the rebrand was to take all of these elements and create a visual library to be used in the new website as well as print and online campaigns. As the project evolved it included cataloging fragile documents as well as producing images for resale as posters.

"I'm just blown away. Fantastic. Utterly fantastic…Thanks Peter. We’re really happy with the photos and looking forward to seeing them built into the new website. We're really pleased with the site but of course, it's the photos that really make it! We've had lots of positive feedback about them too" Mel Duffill-Jeffs, Bromley House Library
