The term "Old Masters" refers to some of the most recognised painters in European history. They worked between the Renaissance period and 1800.
In contrast to many modern photography studios, I use old paintings to style my work. The lighting patterns I use are in the style of the Old Masters Portraits.
Taking this as a theme we have created four collections. Central to each collection is our Classic Handmade Canvas.
This luxury canvas faithfully reproduces the look and feel of the natural painting canvas of the Old Masters.
We create your portrait to last a lifetime. The colours and blacks will not fade and the canvas will not slacken. Your portrait is then framed with one of our decorative wooden frames.
This museum-quality canvas is unlike anything you will find in the UK. They are exclusive pieces of art that will be a talking point in any room.
We size our Classic Canvas based on the Old English Painting Sizes. Sizes are the longest edge of the portrait (or the interior of the frame).
We have included the names of the sizes just for fun!
The Vermeer
The Vermeer Collection includes the classic 24-inch 'Head' sized canvas. This is 24 inches measured on the longest edge, not including the frame.
This size is perfect for a portrait of a loved one to give as a gift for a special occasion. This size also works well for a couple, a small family, or simply as a treat for yourself!

The size of the prints depends on the crop of your portrait. They are matted into sturdy fine art mats ready for you to share with family and friends.
The Leonardo
In the Leonardo Collection, your canvas includes the famous 36-inch 'Kit-Cat' size. This is 36 inches measured on the longest edge, not including the frame. Our most popular collection with families.
The Kit-Cat gets its name from a famous series of portraits painted for members of the London Kit-Cat Club. Most of the original portraits are now in the National Portrait Gallery.
Being a little larger than the 'Head' size, the Kit-Cat is perfect for family groups and a good-sized room.

The Rembrandt
Our Rembrandt Old Masters' Collection fully embraces the beauty of the classical fine art portrait. Suitable to create lasting memories throughout their home with a big impact and a collection of portraits to treasure.
The Rembrandt includes a 36-inch 'Kit-Cat' size' framed canvas portrait.

The Michelangelo
The Michelangelo Collection is the ultimate. A collection for you and your loved ones to treasure your special memories for more than a lifetime.
Included in the Michelangelo are three of our Classic Canvas Portraits. The size of each canvas is bespoke and made to best fit the room in which you wish to hang it. You can choose the same or different sizes. Each can be up to 50 inches 'half size'.
Please note that a 'Half Size' canvas, with the addition of the frame, becomes a very large piece of wall art. It will make a major statement in a sizeable room. If you are unsure about the best size for your home then please get in contact.
