Hello, my name is Peter and I am an Exeter family photographer. I specialise in creating painterly-style family portraits that capture special memories of your loved ones for you to keep forever.
Think of a moment in years to come. It is the day when your children, grandchildren (and even your great-grandchildren) discover your beautiful portraits for the very first time.
Imagine each of them wide-eyed, holding their breath in excitement, as they see your personality and character shining through every image. The wonder as they touch the soft velvety matte cotton prints and enjoy the vibrant colours and deep blacks in the framed canvas. It's almost as if they get to know a little of who you are as well as what you look like...
The Painterly Old Masters' Style
Unlike a filter that is applied to any old snap you take on your mobile, each photograph I take is lovingly hand-edited by myself. It is a creative process that turns the photograph I capture in your home into a real piece of art in the style of the Masters from yesteryear. Every portrait is hand-edited, in-house, by myself.
Being a photographer I use a camera to capture your image, however, then I turn that photo into a one-off piece of art. You will not get portraits like this from another Exeter photographer (or anywhere else in the UK for that matter).
Our clients often comment that their finished portraits look like paintings! Not only do they look like paintings we present all our portraits either on a soft matte cotton rag or on our classic premium canvas. Both of these produce beautiful pieces that you can be proud to hang in your home, either with or without a frame.
You will be getting something very special to keep - and you and your family deserve it!
The portraits we create are intended to last you and your loved ones a lifetime and are not available on the high street. Every aspect of your portrait experience is designed around you and your family. Your final portraits are hand-made with love, using pigments (rather than inks) and quality materials that ensure your memories will be just as vibrant in 100 years as they were the day you first received them
Where is your Exeter Photographer Studio?
So, you may be wondering where my studio is in the city? Well, it is in your home!
The national press and advertisers often focus on improvements and developments in camera technology. This is true. However, with everything having turned digital, on-location studio equipment has also come on in leaps and bounds, and is now used regularly 'out in the field'.
So, I really am your nearest family portrait photographer in Exeter!
We also have a commercial studio in Exeter - you can visit it here: Nutkins UK Commercial Photography.
